Hotsprings History

Welcome to the Challis Hotsprings, a 4th generation family owned resort. Our Hot Springs were originally developed in the 1800's as the "Beardsley Resort & Hotel". The original boarding house was the center of recreation for the miners of the Beardsley, Custer, and Yankee Fork Mines. Today, the Challis Hot Springs is a destination for swimming, soaking, rv camping and a old fashioned bed and breakfast getaway.

Located in the beautiful mountains of central Idaho, Challis Hot Springs is within a short days travel to a variety of recreational opportunities. Whether you are into Rafting or kayaking on the Salmon River; fishing for Steelhead, Cuttthroat and Trout; or looking to get away into the vast Frank Church Wilderness, Challis, Idaho is the place to be!
